Food and drinks very well done. They fit well into an Asian fusion niche. As far as drinks, the bar manager Andy knows his stuff and the bar has a particularly good selection of Japanese whiskeys, some specially imported. Subsequently, many of the house cocktails involve these and are all above average. As far as the food, lots of great choices. All the bao is great - the green pea bao, the braised pork belly bao, the squid ink unagi bao - can’t go wrong. Other highlights included the chicken katsu, the tempura Brussels sprouts, and an absolute favorite of mine - the spicy mushroom noodles. Even the matcha cookie was good, and I don’t really dig matcha. Looking forward to returning.

The small plates are generally very interesting and enjoyable. Asparagus, waffles, and several interesting steamed buns are all solid. Ramen is varied, different, and worthy. But the star of this show is the dessert menu. Smoked purple yam ice cream, Milk and Cookies, Coconut Lime Soft Serve, and Walk In The Woods were all very different and excellent in their creativity and execution.

Really enjoyed this place! If you're craving bao, this is a place for you. If you're always bartering with yourself between Japanese and Spanish cuisine, oh wow is this the place for you. Paella & ramen in one place, with good portion sizes to get many. Was lucky enough to sit next to the prep area, what a show. Cool to see all the dishes you didn't order to plan for next time. Recommend the green pea bao in summer, and the ceviche looked insane.

We had a phenomenal night at Pagu celebrating a vegan birthday and the staff went way above and beyond to accommodate us, to the point of surprising the birthday girl with a delicious olive oil chocolate cake. I can't express how appreciative I am to our waitress, the experience will have us coming back for many celebrations to come!

We had a delicious meal. Food is a mix of Japanese small dishes with a tapas style twist. The staff was excellent. Food was very tasty from the sashimi to the Ramen. Drink menu is excellent as well. The place is on the pricey side, but worth it as everything is carefully prepared of very high quality.

They did a beautiful job with our party of 18. Communication before the dinner (and there was lots, with a special menu) was very smooth and professional, the food was outstanding, and the service was even better! Our server Alejandra was such a pro--totally accommodating, very efficient, and always cheerful, which made a special occasion even more special. Manager Chris was great. Could not recommend more highly.

Absolutely stunning per usual. Brought friends from out of town and it was the perfect spot to show them one of the best places in the Boston area. Started off with Big Eye Tuna Tartare, Pan con Tomate & Boquerones, Pork Belly Bao, Friend Calamari with Squid Ink Alioli, Black Cod Croquetas with Thai Chili Alioli, Tempura String Beans, and the Baby Gem a La Plancha. The white asparagus with Thai basil pesto special was also hitting (image attached)!!!! Mains were stellar and the desserts even more so. The new kelp caramel on the maple soft serve is quite literally the best ice cream I’ve had in Boston.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Cambridge/Boston area for so many reasons: It has a great bar program. The ambiance is fancy and decor is nice. It serve lunch and dinner. I was working closed by when they first opened and got to eat lunch here quite a bit. To be clear, it's not affordable enough to eat lunch here everyday but the food is worth the price. I came here for dinner this time and here are some of my suggestions: On a busy weekend, it would be helpful to make a reservation especially if you have a big party. For a party of 2-3ish, I recommend the Kitchen bar seats because it's really fun watching the chefs cook. It's pretty easier to get bar seating if you are by yourself or with 1 more person. Drinks are great and you can find something to enjoy. For food, try everything. The knife cut noodles is a must. Suckling Pig comes off as pull pork but great to share with a group and it comes with Baos (a sandwich if you), kimchi, and sauce. The suckling pig is so good that I ordered it to go for my Super Bowl party. My wife love the Koji Marinated striplion because it's a more tasty and umami steak compared to what you find from the usual steakhouse. There is a lot more for food options.
